you guys can make as many positivity posts as you want but until you start like, being normal about people with bodily acne i don’t want to hear anything you have to say
it’s not dirty or gross to have body acne. someone having acne on their back and shoulders doesn’t mean they don’t wash themselves. someone having acne on their asscheeks doesn’t mean they don’t wash themselves. do you understand me. there is no moral failing to having body acne. Be Normal.

Parts of the country where self-service gas pumping is illegal.
I didn’t know about New Jersey’s law so imagine my shock when a pump jockey sprinted at my car and kicked my door shut when I tried to get out to get gas. I rolled down my window and asked him “Is there a law against pumping your own gas or something?” And he looked at me like I’M nuts and just said “…yes?”
okay but imagine this in the reverse. when i left new jersey as a driver for the first time and sat in my car for about ten minutes wondering where the attendant was until a nice man tapped on my window and just said the words “New Jersey?” and when I nodded he told me to get out of the car so he could teach me how to pump gas (and nicely didn’t laugh at me when I shot gas out of the nozzle across the side of my car).
me and the boys (all from new jersey) went on a road trip out of state and had to get gas and it ended up being sort of a Group Puzzle for the gang as we huddled around the gas pump and nozzle and tank and whatnot. just picture five people standing around the gas tank opening like its part of an escape room. it was very silly.
my mom (jersey girl through and through) moved out to new mexico in her 30s and when confronted with The Gas Pump for the first time resorted to standing by the station crying until someone took pity and did it for her
me on the other hand, her daughter, a jersey girl in name only, i had been entirely raised in NM so you would think i would have more luck…..but no. the first time i tried to pump gas i spilled it all over my legs getting about 20% in the tank. anyway there’s ur proof that being a jersey girl is a form of intergenerational curse/trauma

I just….like…HOW are you guys spilling it all over yourselves? It’s not that you don’t have that skill that confounds me, it’s the way in which you’re failing that is confusing. No gas coming out makes sense, not knowing when it’s done, or how to choose the grade, like all of that I get but how are you getting it everywhere? Surely gas isn’t the only context where “pull trigger thing comes out” is applicable?
